Family Law Firm Looking to Hire Part Time Marketing Coordinator

We are looking for the right person who can start at 15-25 hours a week as the marketing coordinator for a premier family law firm located in the Upstate.  

This position may grow into a full-time Marketing Director position based on your performance and initiative.  A marketing degree and prior public relations experience is preferred, but not necessary.  Legal experience is not necessary.

The person we hire must be an excellent writer and a motivated self-starter.  The right person likes to figure things out and think outside of the box.

Things you'll be helping us with include the following:

  • Developing our consumer book series on all aspects of family law. (Don't worry, you won't be responsible for creating content from scratch, just helping us by putting our content into a compelling, user-friendly, and organized written form.)
  • Writing articles and other content for our monthly newsletter. You'll be writing articles on specified topics and you will be expected to help develop and editorial calendar. You will be working within very strict editorial deadlines.
  • Editing blog articles and legal FAQ's to be used on our website, in YouTube videos, and repurposed among all our social media channels.
  • Creating and maintaining relationships with other professionals and community members who are, or will become, strong referral sources for our firm. (Not just other lawyers - we want you to think outside the box.)
  • Creating automated email follow up systems and campaigns for prospective clients, new clients, current clients, and past clients.
  • Proposing and developing new ways to market and promote our firm to prospective clients, referral sources, and our community.

Again, advanced knowledge of the following is not essential, but a good foundation of knowledge combined with the willingness to develop your skills and having the desire for excellence are critical:

  • Direct Response Marketing
  • SEO, Internet Marketing
  • Google Ads, Facebook Ads
  • How to shoot, create, edit, and publish video content
  • Automated follow-up sequences
  • Graphic Design
  • Excellent writing skills

  5. Visit our firm's website ( and Facebook page. Design a social media post featuring a piece of advice you found on either page which you feel would be attractive to a potential client. Attach a PDF version of the ad design for our review with your cover letter.

How much money will this person make?

Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience; however, we will pay an hourly rate as long as this position is under thirty-hours per week, and a bonus structure may also be added upon completion of the probationary period.
